If your domain is already on our
DNS servers. Here's a quick way to activate your Domain Features
to start using your domain on the Internet immediately.
- First create your new account here.
Once created, login to your account.
- Click the 'Add
Domains' button and enter the domains you wish to add to your account
in the field on the following page (one domain per line). When
finished adding domains to the field, click the 'Add' button.
- Enter the domain name in the field provided.
- The next page will be "Web Settings", this is where you choose
between a simple Welcome page, Stealth, or standard redirection(see
below for details).
- You can enter a title that will be displayed above the address
bar in most browsers. This can be anything at all.
This is also another thing that search engines will look at.
- You can set your Keywords, and Description with Welcome,
standard, and cloaked forwarding. This is what search
engines look at when they are scouring the internet. For
more information on what to list here, you may want to consult
http://www.yourkeywords.com/,
this is a site that we have put together to help people better
understand search engines. Skip this for now though if you
are just getting started.
- Once you have chosen how you want your domain displayed,
select this option. if you simply want a welcome page for
now, just click on the "continue" button, then you will have one
last chance to change your mind as you still have to click one
more button to "Confirm Changes".
Otherwise with Stealth, or Standard redirection, you will
need to enter the destination address or URL in the line provided.
Be sure not to remove the http:// from that
address. Pass Subdirectories is an option for semi-advanced
users who use sub directories, and wish to make them accessible.
The default is No.
- Once you are happy with your web settings, just click on the
"continue" button, then you will have one last chance to change
your mind as you still have to click one more button to "Confirm
Changes".
- Lastly you will want to check your mail settings. From
the Summary page of the domain you will need to chose "Edit
e-mail Settings", which will take you to a new page. Your
Login ID will automatically be used as the destination address
for the catch-all (the catch-all is the address to which any e-mails
directed to any name@yourdomain.com name will forward to).
This is your chance to change this, and add all of the separate
destination addresses that you want .
- To add new Alias, or e-mail addresses. simply enter the
name of the person, or the e-mail address they wish to have
@yourdomain.com under the Alias
side, in the box provided. In the box on the
Destination side, simply enter the address that you wish these
e-mails to forward to.
- Once you are through entering e-mail addresses, simply click
on the "continue" button, then you will have one last chance to
change your mind as you still have to click one more button to
"Confirm Changes".
- Now your domain, and e-mail forwarding are set up. Please
allow 1-3 hours Maximum for our servers to update with these changes,
and they should be visible live.
Note: where we say "yourdomain.com",
we are referring to your actual domain name that you are setting
up.
