Due to an unusually large number of questions regarding the process of transferring a domain from RegisterFly to MyDomain, we've put together this handy-dandy walkthrough. If you have any trouble along the way please feel free to call us at 360-253-2210 x1 and our experts will help you through the process.
Transfers are just $5 with this special offer!
MyDomain has some of the lowest registration and transfer rates on the Internet, but if you're transferring domains from RegisterFly to MyDomain you can take advantage of this special, limited time offer:
Transfer your domains from RegisterFly to MyDomain for just $5 each when you use the coupon code: registerflies
This code is valid for .com, .net, .org, .info, .us and .biz domain extensions.
Also check out http://www.registerflies.com for the latest news and information on registerfly.com.
As always, transferring a domain to MyDomain will add an additional year to your current registration term.
Step 1: Initiate the Transfer Through MyDomain.com
Step 2: Find your RegisterFly Authorization Codes
- Login to your RegisterFly account.
- Under the heading "Domain Information," click the number of your "Total Domains." The number will be in brackets and will look like this: [9]
- Now click on the domain name for which the authorization code is required. Each of your domains will have a check box beside them, but you’ll want to click on the domain name itself.
- Now find the bar that reads "Domain Contact Information" and click on the plus sign (+) on the far right-hand side. Once you’ve clicked the plus sign the bar will expand to reveal a button labeled "Configure." Click on the "Configure" button.
- Next just scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and you’ll see a long string of letters and numbers under the heading "Authorization Code." That is the authorization code for that particular domain, and it will probably look something like this: Us3R2bLz2N157
- Write down the authorization codes and their corresponding domain name, and save this information in a safe place. We suggest saving the information in a document on your computer so it will be easy for you to cut and paste the codes into your new MyDomain account.
Step 3: Submit Your Authorization Codes to MyDomain.com
- Within 48 hours you will receive an email from MyDomain requesting the authorization codes for each of the domains you wish to transfer. If after 48 hours you still have not received this email, please call MyDomain customer support.
- Follow the link in the email and enter the authorization codes for each of your domains in the online form.
- Click the confirmation link on the page to confirm your transfer order.
Step 4: Wait
- Once you've entered all of your authorization codes and confirmed your order, MyDomain will submit your information to RegisterFly and complete the transfer process. You'll receive email notification when a domain is transferred successfully, or if we encounter a problem.
- At this point the transfer process can take up to 5 days to complete. You and MyDomain have done all you can, and now it's up to RegisterFly to send us your domains.
- Some domains may take longer to transfer than others so don't worry if your domains transfer over one-by-one over the next several days.
- If you still haven't received your domains after 5 days or you suspect there is a problem, please contact MyDomain customer support.
